Optimize the Bozeman Solar Project Orientation
Introduction
Our project is to orient the solar panels at the Bozeman Solar Project (location shown below) in order to optimize the power generated. In order to determine the appropriate tilt and orientation angle of each panel our group is tasked with creating an algorithm to find the amount of panels that maximize the power output. In addition to being concerned with maximizing power, our group must consider matching the panel output to the power demand for the Gallatin Valley. Ultimately, we would like for this algorithm to apply to various solar sites around the state.
