The project used the utility of IoT technology, the most adnavced technology.
This system monitors the lab pump 24/7 and sends notification to the user

The Mass Spectrometry Facility at Montana State University relies on vacuum pumps to produce a vacuum in primary lab equipment (Mass Spectrometer) order to complete accurate and repeatable experiments. Failures of these pumps can lead to ruined experiments resulting in wasted time, the loss of valuable material used in the experiments, resources, as well as leading to potential damages to the primary lab equipment. This group has been charged with solving this problem by creating a network of sensors that creates trending log of different parameters which may indicate the potential for motor failure in the near future. These parameters include current draw, temperature, and oil level for the system.
