The capstone group anticipates improved presentation of design report content by the Critical Design Review (CDR) in late November.  Prior to the CDR, the group will conduct our Critical Subsystems Design (CSD) experiment to compare thermal management methods for the photovoltaic (PV) array on the car. The method best suited for the car will be determined and incorporated into the CDR and the final design report.

Second semester will entail the development and layout of the design report, which will be accompanied by a physical experiment to validate one of the subsystems specified in the report. For the experiment, one leg of the PV system will be constructed in order to demonstrate that the components selected work properly when assembled together. By the end of April 2018, the team expects to have demonstrated that one leg of the PV system functions cohesively and have finalized a comprehensive design report for the Big Sky Solar Team.
