Chassis

  1. The chassis will have to be designed to hold all of the subsystems, minimize weight, and retain strength.

  2. Choose a chassis/build one

 

Steering Design

  1. Servo Specifications -Servo Specifications will need to be determined.  How fast will the servo need to respond?  How much current will the servo draw?  How much torque the steering servo will have to overcome.

  2. Mechanical Design of the steering system.  Build one/ Buy One.

  3. Come up with a servo calibration curve, that corresponds to a specific distance and desired speed of the car.  

 

Power Board/ Motor Drivers / Circuit

  1. Motors

  • Choose Motos to match the chosen wheels and torque calculations

  • Choose motor drivers if needed.

  1. Design A Power Board Circuit

  • Motors Drivers, Servos, Arduino

 

Battery Selection

  1. Determine Total Current Draw of all the subsystems\Determine power Needed

  2. Determine Max Battery Voltage

  3. Choose Battery

 

Lighting LED array for line scan Camera

  1. Determine how much light we will need

  2. Choose LED’s and design an LED lighting Circuit
