Who We Are

Hello and welcome! We are a group of undergraduate and graduate students interested in optics, photonics, and related disciplines. Our society represents the student chapter for the professional organizations SPIE and Optica. We seek to foster an inclusive community within the student body, learn about cutting edge optics and photonics research and technology, make connections between academia and industry, and educate the next generation of optical engineers and scientists through K-12 outreach. 

 

Our chapter activities include:
  • Monthly meetings with talks from professionals in academia/industry about their work in optics and photonics or a related field

  • Company Tours to explore the abundant and diverse optics and photonics industry in the Gallatin Valley
