Introduction

In EELE 101, the students are given a parallax Arduino kit to build and program. Our goal for this capstone project is to take the parallax kit and build a better version of this RC car to successfully complete a race. We will be using the same track as EELE 101 to race. A focus on the engineering design process is the most important part of our project.

Motivation

The stock EELE 101 car is a slow vehicle for learning purposes. Our project will take the knowledge we have gained since taking EELE 101 and use it to race this car. The goal is to beat the other teams with the fastest car. This project requires skill and knowledge of power systems, sensors, embedded microcontrollers, and motors.
