David KnappDavid J. Knapp - David is currently a senior in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Montana State University, Bozeman, MT.  He was born in Worland, WY the 5th of June, 1982.  He will be graduating May 2007 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT.  He spent the summer of 2006 working for Wavelength Electronics and Exmar Offshore Company during the summer of 2007.  In addition to this he has worked for Hugo Schmidt in his Solid State Physics lab and the MSU Spectrum Lab.  His interests include Optics, Digital Logic design, and solid state physics.

Merlin LongMerlin Long - Merlin is a senior in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Montana State University, Bozeman.  Born in Indianapolis, IN in 1977, Merlin grew up in Helena, MT and graduated from Helena High school in 1995.  Merlin was a student at the University of Montana in Missoula, MT before transferring to MSU in the spring of 2003.  He is scheduled to receive his B. S. in Electrical Engineering from MSU in May, 2007.  His personal interests include sound processing and amplification and renewable energy systems.

Tim MackeTim Macke - Tim is currently a senior in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Montana State University, Bozeman.  He was born in Billings, MT in May of 1985.  He will be graduating in May 2007 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University, Bozeman.  He has held internships at MSU’s Space Science and Engineering Lab and ILX Lightwave, both located in Bozeman, MT.  His interests include power electronics, power systems, and energy generation.

Hongwei GaoHongwei Gao - Dr. Hongwei Gao is the faculty advisor for the ECEbot Power Upgrade project.  He is currently an Assistant Professor for Montana State University's Electrical and Computer Engineering department.  He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.  His areas of expertise are:  Electric Motor Drives, Power Electronics, Electric Vehicles, and Renewable Energy Sources.
