Results (pass rates) on comprehensive examinations and thesis defenses within the past two years were reviewed. 7/7 MS comp exams were passed; 8/8 MS defense exams were passed.

Question 3: What was learned from the assessment?

Students in the MSEE program are passing their oral comprehensive and thesis defense exams with uniformly good success.

Question 4: How did you respond to the assessment results?

Students in the program are performing well. Faculty are asked to continue to monitor student comp and defense performance.

Assessment information for M.Eng. EE program assessed.

Question 2: What assessment data were collected?

The M.Eng. program is a coursework-only program, so students do not take the comprehensive exam and thesis defense. Instead, we assess whether the students have successfully completed their program of study.

Question 3: What was learned from the assessment?

A small number of students are in the M.Eng. EE program. The students in the program are completing their coursework in a timely fashion, and none have been excluded for academic reasons.

Question 4: How did you respond to the assessment results?

We continue to enroll M.Eng. students and advise them in the curricular requirements. Coursework success is evaluated.

Assessment information for PhD in Engineeering, Electrical & Computer Engineering Option

Question 2: What assessment data were collected?

Results (pass rates) on comprehensive examinations and thesis defenses within the past two years were reviewed. 7/8 Qualifying exam pass (80%); 4/4 dissertation defense pass (100%).

Question 3: What was learned from the assessment?

Students in the PhD program are successful in passing the qualifying exam and dissertation defense exams.

Question 4: How did you respond to the assessment results?

Students in the program are performing well. Faculty are asked to continue to monitor student performance, and to strive to maintain and increase the quality and quantity of doctoral students.
