Assistant Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering

The Montana State University ECE Department seeks applicants in all areas of electrical and computer engineering to join our dynamic academic team. Our principal interest is in applicants in the electrical power and energy areas. The Department has strength in both traditional and emerging areas of engineering, and we particularly seek individuals who are excited about opportunities for applied research, hands-on teaching, and professional service as part of the Land-Grant mission. Competitively-awarded research expenditures in the ECE Department from external sources last year topped $3.8M, with funding from NSF, DoD, NASA, DoE, and many other public and private agencies. Enrolling 450 students, the Department offers undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and in Computer Engineering, graduate MS degrees in EE and Optics, and PhD degrees in EE.  http://ece.montana.edu/

Requirements

  1. PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or closely related field by start date
  2. Record of quality peer-reviewed and other scholarly publications
  3. Demonstrated potential for effective undergraduate and graduate teaching in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
  4. Demonstrated potential for developing a nationally recognized, externally funded scholarly program in an appropriate focus area
